Borden Insurance Agency Inc has provided

Southcoast communities since 1909. Our
history includes three generations of
insurance experience. In 1917, Milton E.
Borden joined the insurance firm which later
became known as Goddard & Borden in 1934. In
1951 his son, Bruce A. Borden joined the
agency. In 1965 the agency moved from
downtown New Bedford to Kempton Street in
the Buttonwood Park neighborhood. At that
time the agency became Borden Insurance
Agency, Inc. In 1982, Bruce’s son Jonathan
B. Borden joined the agency.
